This Canon EF-S 55-250mm is simply a great lens for Canon cropped sensor DSLR camera users. I like the idea that Canon took from Nikon. Nikon was able to make a sharp kit lenses on this range for their DSLR cameras and Canon soon follow their formula. The things that Canon implemented is Nikon’s range and Vibration Reduction feature. In this lens, Canon also installed the Image Stabilization feature. In addition, Canon also add 50mm more focal length on the telephoto end. The plastic mount is a welcome addition to me. Many people crave to have a lens with metal mount but I am simply not one of them. I do not like to carry heavy lenses with me when I am shooting and this lens is very satisfying for the price. I would highly recommend this lens for anyone looking for a great and sharp kit lens at a great price.
